The Rani Sui Lake, in the Indian Himalayas is situated in the Dauladhar Range of the Manali Valley. It is the Holy Lake of Maharishi Shandilya. Since this is a Heart shaped lake, we also call it the “Love Lake”. The lake is surrounded with a pleasant feeling of bliss; just way we feel when we are in Love! This magnificent Lake is listed as one of the most beautiful treks in the Manali valley. A spectacular 360 degree view awaits us as we reach the top.

All about Rani Sui Lake
The Rani Sui Lake is perched on the Khan – Pari Tibba peak and nestled in the majestic Dhauladhar range. This trail leads to Kalihani pass and the Bara Bhangal range. This heavenly water body was named “Rani Sui” as a “Rani” or a “Queen” gave birth near this lake.
The perfect place for an adventure seeker who has only a short span of time to spend a few blissful moments in nature. Its beauty personified!
Once we gain maximum altitude, we will get to witness some stunning views of the Manalsu glacier, Rohtang pass, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba, and the Dhauladhar and Pir Panjaal ranges.
The journey through an enchanting and timeless trail used by the legendary Gaddi Shepherds, traversing through the pristine wilderness of the magnificent Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar Ranges.

Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Patlikuhal - Mahili
Today we will trek to our first basecamp Mahili. It takes around 4-5 hours of trekking till we reach Mahili. Mahili lies at a height of 9,800 feet.
We come across an unending carpet of fertile rich meadows surrounded by pine forests and green cedar Deodar trees. The full blossoming flora fauna makes this a camera’s favorite place. But not only the cameras, even trekkers from all over the world treasure this serenity. We shall encamp at Mahili for the night.
Day 2: Mahili - Rani Sui Lake - Mahili
After a delicious morning meal, we shall head towards one of the most enchanting Lakes in Himachal Pradesh.
A stunning 360 degree view eagerly waits to surprise you as soon as you walk towards the lake. You will get to witness Mt. Deo Tibba 6001 m (19,680 feet) and Mt. Indrasan 6221 m (20,400 feet) on the East, and Kalihani Pass at 4800 m (15,750 feet) on the West.
Enjoy the mesmerizing feeling of being around this blissful lake and take in as much positivity as you can. The locals believe that this lake which is dedicated to Maharishi Shandiliya is sacred to take a dip in.
Changing landscapes of mountains and meadows welcome you as you cross the last ridge below the Khan-Pari Tibba Peak to Rani Sui Lake.
Day 3: Saurkudi / Mahili to Manali
Wake up to a peaceful morning, enjoy the sunrise and post breakfast we shall descend through the steep ridge below Khan-Pari Tibba. Admire the beautiful upper view of Kullu and Manali perfectly situated by the Beas River, as we trek down towards Shangchar. Shangchar village is located at the South of the Lake. The car will pick us up from Shangchar village and take us down till Patlikuhal and drop us at Manali. We shall part ways at Manali with happy memories, hoping to meet again for many more treks.

Tips and Advisory

Any major delay to start will have repercussions with delayed lunch for the entire team, poor visibility forcing aborting of the activity and untimely return.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided by our team. Lunch is a simple vegetarian meal prepared by the local community. Pizza, Lasagna, Risotto and Khow Suey may be your everyday meal at home, but it’s totally not a good idea to have them during treks. Our team will be providing you with healthy nutritional food and a mouth watering meal to make sure you wake up fresh and energetic after all the physical activity of the day.

Keep hydrated at all times and you are advised to inform the organizers immediately in case you have any sign of intense fatigue, dehydration, heat stroke. Symptoms include nausea, headache, fatigue, dizziness, etc.

You are informed to maintain code of conduct and at no time engage in dangerous stunts, show aggression, break environmental guidelines, endanger life of self and others.

Do not forsake safety for speed. It’s a stupid bargain.

We will be engaging in outdoor activities and you are requested to be well prepared with the right clothing and footwear. The weather can be warm and sunny or extremely wet and cloudy. The activities will continue to happen in the prevailing weather conditions for the entire day. So be adequately prepared.

Long hair should be tied back before engagement, even if you look unattractive.

All jewellery and other accessories must be removed to prevent injury or sold to raise funds for our Foundation.

Bat Mobile and Bat Wing (Batman’s Vehicles) need to be stationed at the parking below only. Walking cannot be skipped.

It is a strict rule to bring ALL our rubbish back home to dispose them responsibly.
